Lofts, Townhouses and Towers by Grant Park
Housing here covers a lot of ground. Printer's Row has old printing buildings converted to lofts, Museum Park is a cluster of residential towers at the south end of Grant Park, and townhouses and some single-family homes sit among the larger buildings across the area. A loft's open floor gives you room to move. A townhouse with a spare room or lower level can grow into a small home gym over time. In a tower, use the fitness center where management allows, or train in your unit. We've also run resident fitness programs in buildings such as The LEX and Library Lofts.
Prenatal and Postnatal Sessions in the South Loop
If you're expecting or recently had a baby, training at home takes a lot of the logistics out of it. Pre- and postnatal fitness is one of the goals we match trainers for, and your doctor's guidance sets the limits for what each session includes. Sessions can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes, which helps around naps and feedings, and you can reschedule with 24 hours' notice when a day goes sideways. When you're ready to get outside, Women's Park and Gardens makes a calm first outing for a walk and some stretching.
Lakefront Work From Museum Campus to Burnham
The lake is the South Loop's biggest outdoor asset. The Museum Campus at the southeast end of Grant Park opens onto the Lakefront Trail, good for walking or running intervals with the skyline behind you. Head south and Burnham Park stretches along the shore with a fitness course along the way for bodyweight circuits. Inland, Women's Park and Gardens is a quieter spot for mobility and stretching. Train outside in the warm months, and when the wind off the water picks up, the session comes back inside.
Outdoor sessions near you
- Museum Campus (Grant Park) — Walking or running intervals along the lakefront, with the skyline behind you.
- Burnham Park — Bodyweight circuits at the fitness course, then steady running on the trail.
- Women's Park and Gardens — Gentle walks and stretching among the gardens, a calm postnatal starting point.
