Downtown as a Place to Live
The Loop is no longer just where people work. CMAP's June 2026 Community Data Snapshot puts its population up about 160 percent since 2000, with 96.2 percent of homes in buildings of 20 or more units and a median year built of 2002. That means your session can happen in your building's fitness center, if management allows outside trainers, or right in your unit with equipment your trainer brings. Linea, Lake & Wells (Oakwood 200), OneEleven and MILA are among the buildings where we've run resident fitness programs over the years.
Office Sessions in the Financial District and Theatre District
This is Chicago's central business district, and a trainer can meet you at work as easily as at home. Book a session at your office near the LaSalle Street financial district or at a workplace near the Theatre District, and train in a conference room, an office gym or any open floor your employer allows. Need to move a session? Give 24 hours' notice. Because each trainer pairs a Bachelor's degree with a nationally accredited certification, a lunch-hour workout gets the same planning as one at home.
Mornings on the Chicago Riverwalk
The Chicago Riverwalk follows the south edge of the river's main branch for 1.25 miles. The City finished the stretch from State Street to Lake Street in 2015 and 2016, then reopened the east end, from Michigan Avenue to Lake Shore Drive, in May 2019. For residents near Wacker Drive and Lake Street, that puts a waterfront route a short walk away for walking intervals, mobility work and a cool-down stretch. Your trainer can plan river sessions in the warm months and bring the workout back indoors when the wind picks up.
Outdoor sessions near you
- Chicago Riverwalk — 1.25-mile promenade on the south edge of the main branch, from Lake Street east to Lake Shore Drive.
- Grant Park — Nearly 313 acres from Randolph Street to Roosevelt Road, including Hutchinson Field and Buckingham Fountain.

The Loop personal training FAQ
Is the State/Lake 'L' station open?
No. CTA closed State/Lake on January 5, 2026 for a reconstruction it expects to run into 2029. CTA points riders to Clark/Lake, which serves six 'L' lines, or to Washington/Wabash.
Can we train in Grant Park?
Yes, weather permitting. The Chicago Park District lists Grant Park at nearly 313 acres from Randolph Street to Roosevelt Road, with Hutchinson Field's ball diamonds, Buckingham Fountain at Columbus and Congress, and a stretch of the Lakefront Trail.
Do you offer meal delivery in the Loop?
Yes. Our meal delivery service covers downtown Chicago, the Loop included, and it pairs well with nutrition counseling.
