Market Buildings, Warehouse Lofts and New High-Rises
Much of this area grew up around food. The City traces the Fulton-Randolph Market District to a market hall built on Randolph Street in 1850, and the district, designated in 2015, protects a rare concentration of mercantile food distribution buildings. Some Fulton Market buildings once housed branch operations of Armour, Swift and Morris. Many former warehouses nearby have become loft condominiums, and new high-rise condos and apartments have filled in around them. Whether your home has exposed brick or an amenity-floor gym, a trainer brings what your program calls for.
Mary Bartelme Park and Union Park
Two Park District parks anchor outdoor sessions. Mary Bartelme Park at 115 S. Sangamon fits an open lawn, mist gates for hot days and a viewing hill up to six feet high into 2.71 acres, a ready-made spot for incline walks and step-ups. Farther west, Union Park at 1501 W. Randolph spreads across 13.77 acres with baseball fields, a football and soccer field, and basketball, tennis and pickleball courts. Your trainer can build a park day into your week whenever the weather allows.
From Greektown to the Edge of Little Italy
We cover the whole neighborhood, not just Fulton Market. Greektown runs along Halsted Street between Van Buren and Madison, Randolph Street is lined with restaurants, and Little Italy sits nearby between the Illinois Medical District and UIC's east campus. Buildings where we've run resident fitness programs over the years include JeffJack on Jackson Boulevard in the West Loop Gate area, The Madison at Racine, Gateway West Loop, K2 at K Station and Left Bank. We have 50+ certified trainers, and every session is insured.
