Effective date: October 17, 2026
Chitown Trainer ("Chitown Trainer," "we," "us" or "our") provides in-home, outdoor, office and virtual personal training, group classes, nutrition counseling, massage therapy and meal delivery in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. This policy explains what personal information we collect through chitowntrainer.com (the "Site") and when you contact us, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors and clients in Illinois and across the United States.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
- Inquiry details: your neighborhood or suburb, fitness goals, preferred training times, the service you're interested in, and anything you write in a notes field.
- Health and fitness information you choose to share, such as an injury, pregnancy or medical condition a trainer should know about.
- If you become a client: scheduling details, session notes and billing information. Payments are not taken on this Site.
Information collected automatically
- The page you sent a form from and when you sent it.
- Technical information our hosting provider records when you visit, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the site that referred you and approximate location (country or city). We use it to run, secure and measure the Site.
Information we don't collect
We don't collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers or payment card numbers through the Site, and we don't collect biometric identifiers or biometric information (such as fingerprints, face geometry or voiceprints) as defined by the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry, usually within one business day, and set up your free consultation.
- To match you with a trainer, massage therapist or nutrition coach and schedule sessions.
- To plan safe, appropriate sessions. Health information you share is used only for this.
- To provide, bill for and improve our services and the Site.
- To keep the Site secure, prevent fraud and spam, and comply with the law.
- To send you messages about your inquiry or sessions, and marketing only if you've agreed to receive it.
Calls, texts and email
When you submit a form on the Site, you agree that Chitown Trainer may call or text you at the number you provide about your inquiry and our services. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP or by telling us in any other reasonable way, and we'll honor your request promptly. We don't send marketing text messages without your separate consent. Any marketing email we send includes a way to unsubscribe, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires.
How we share information
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:
- With the trainer, massage therapist, nutrition coach or meal provider who delivers your service.
- With service providers that host the Site, store inquiries, and send email or text messages for us. They may use it only to provide those services to us.
- When required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our clients, staff or others.
- As part of a merger, sale or transfer of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
Cookies and analytics
The Site uses only the cookies and similar technologies it needs to work, along with basic visit statistics recorded by our hosting provider. We don't currently use third-party advertising or analytics trackers. If we add them, we'll update this policy first, explain what they collect, and honor opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control where the law requires.
How long we keep information
If you contact us but don't become a client, we keep your inquiry for up to three years after our last contact. If you become a client, we keep your records while you're a client and for up to seven years afterward for tax, accounting and legal purposes. After that we delete the information or remove anything that identifies you.
How we protect information
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), limit access to the people who need it to serve you, and maintain reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as required by the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act and any other law that applies.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you marketing. Email info@chitowntrainer.com or call 312-852-6570. We'll confirm your identity and respond within 45 days. If you live in a state with its own consumer privacy law, you may have additional rights; we'll honor them as that law requires, and we won't treat you differently for using them. Someone you authorize in writing can make a request for you.
Children's privacy
The Site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it. Training for anyone under 18 is arranged by a parent or guardian.
Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, such as news coverage and partner programs. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we'll also note it on the Site.
