Your Living Room or Your Building's Gym
CMAP's 2026 snapshot puts detached houses at 53% of the village's homes and attached single-family homes at 14%, while nearly 31% of units are in buildings with 20 or more residences. The median home was built in 1992. For a village of about 8,000 people, that is a wide range of home types, and that spread is why the setup is flexible. A trainer can work with you at home, using equipment they bring, or meet you in your building's fitness center. Sessions can also happen at your office, which helps on days when getting home first is not realistic.
North Park's Fields and Nature Preserve
The Village maintains 11 parks, about 185 acres of natural areas and more than 5 miles of paths. North Park on Riverwoods Road gives outdoor sessions plenty of room: 65 acres, with roughly 27.5 acres of sports fields, six pickleball courts, an ADA-accessible path, and an Illinois Nature Preserve with hiking trails and interpretive signs. A trainer can use the path for conditioning and the fields for agility or strength work, then cool down on the preserve trail. Five baseball fields and a seasonal skating rink round out the park.
Along the Des Plaines River
Rivershire Park is an 18-acre natural area on the east bank of the Des Plaines River, with a canoe launch, a small picnic area and a trail system. Spring Lake Park has its own beach. The Des Plaines River Trail, the Lake County Forest Preserves' 31.4-mile gravel route, passes through Half Day Forest Preserve in Vernon Hills on its way south to Lake Cook Road, where it meets the Cook County trail system. The Village places Lincolnshire about 34 miles from downtown Chicago, but you never make that trip for a workout. The trainer comes to you.

Lincolnshire personal training FAQ
Can my trainer meet me in my condo building's fitness center?
Yes. A building fitness center is one of the places sessions can happen, along with your home, your office or a nearby park.
Do you offer massage to go with training?
Yes. In-home massage therapy is performed by licensed therapists, so recovery can happen in the same place you train.
Is North Park a good place for outdoor sessions?
It offers an ADA-accessible path, sports fields and nature preserve trails across 65 acres, which gives a trainer plenty of options. Bring it up during your free consultation, and your trainer can plan around it.
