From an 1833 House to Postwar Ranches
The community holds the Noble-Seymour-Crippen House, which the Encyclopedia of Chicago dates to 1833 and calls the oldest extant house in the city. In 1868 the Norwood Land and Building Association laid out a curving subdivision, and when the Kennedy Expressway came through in the 1950s it was routed around the historic houses on the Circle. Housing styles run from Victorians to postwar bungalows, ranches, Georgians and Cape Cods, and CMAP counts roughly 72 percent of homes as single-family detached. Whatever the floor plan, your trainer brings the equipment and adapts the session to the room.
Track Work at Norwood Park, Path Loops at Oriole Park
Two large parks give outdoor sessions real room. Norwood Park, at 5801 N. Natoma, covers about 16 acres and lists a running track, a fitness center, tennis courts and a dog-friendly area. Oriole Park, at 5430 N. Olcott south of Bryn Mawr, is about 19.5 acres with a paved path for walking, running and biking, plus ball fields and a gym. A trainer can use the track for timed intervals, the path for steady conditioning and the fields for bodyweight circuits. When it is too cold or wet, the session moves indoors to your home.
Reached by Northwest Highway, the Kennedy or the Blue Line
The community sits on several of the Northwest Side's main routes. Metra's Union Pacific Northwest line stops at an accessible station on Northwest Highway, the Blue Line's Harlem stop on the O'Hare branch has an entrance on Higgins Avenue, and Milwaukee Avenue, Foster, Devon and Harlem all carry traffic through the area. We serve the whole community, including Old Norwood Park, Oriole Park, Union Ridge and Big Oaks, plus nearby Dunning and Schorsch Village.

Norwood Park personal training FAQ
Can sessions use the park's running track on Natoma Avenue?
Yes. Outdoor sessions in a nearby park are part of the service, and that track suits interval work. In winter we can move sessions inside your home.
My spouse and I want to train together. Is that an option?
Yes. Partner and small-group training let two or more people share a session at home or in the park.
Do you offer group fitness classes?
Yes. Group fitness classes are one of our services, alongside one-on-one, partner, small-group and virtual training.
