Cottages, Rowhouses and Apartments in the Triangle

The Old Town Triangle mixes small wood-frame cottages with brick and stone rowhouses, and apartment buildings line the blocks on both sides of North Avenue. In a cottage or rowhouse, rooms can run narrow, so your trainer plans around what you have: a clear stretch of floor for lunges and carries, a doorway for band work, the stairs for step-ups. If you're in an apartment with neighbors below, ask for low-impact options. We've also run resident fitness programs in nearby buildings such as K Square and SoNo East.

Training as a Pair in Old Town

If someone else in your home wants in, ask about partner training. Couples, roommates and family members can share a session, and partner or small-group training lowers the cost per person. Your trainer plans one workout for two people with different goals, so one of you can build strength while the other works on mobility or posture. Rates are quoted on the consultation call, based on how often you train and whether you train solo or with a partner. If two mats fit side by side, you have enough room.

North Avenue Beach and Stanton Park

Outdoor sessions are close in both directions. Toward the lake, the south end of Lincoln Park and North Avenue Beach give you grass for mobility work, sand for footwork drills and the Lakefront Trail for walking or running intervals. South of North Avenue, Stanton Park has ball fields and an athletic field with room for sprints, carries and partner drills. Warm months are for training outside, and when it turns cold, your trainer brings the session back indoors.

Outdoor sessions near you

  • Lincoln Park — Mobility and bodyweight work on the grass at the park's south end.
  • North Avenue Beach — Sand footwork drills, then walking or running intervals on the Lakefront Trail.
  • Stanton Park — Sprints, carries and partner drills on the athletic field.

Old Town personal training FAQ

Is a Triangle cottage big enough for a workout?

Yes. A living-room rug is enough space, and your trainer brings the equipment and plans movements around your rooms, including the stairs if you'd like to use them.

Can my partner and I share sessions?

Yes. Partner training lowers the cost per person, and your trainer builds one session that covers both of your goals. We quote rates on the consultation call.

Do you train clients on both sides of North Avenue?

Yes. We come to homes across Old Town, from the Triangle north of North Avenue to the apartment buildings south of it, and we can meet you at a nearby park too.
