Training in Mid-Century Houses
Most of the village is single-family houses. CMAP's community data snapshot counts about 73% of homes as detached, and nearly two-thirds were built between 1940 and 1969. That makes home sessions easy to set up: your trainer arrives with the equipment your program calls for, so there is nothing to buy before you begin. If you live in one of the larger condo or apartment buildings, the session can run in the building's fitness center instead. Every trainer is required to hold a Bachelor's degree plus a nationally accredited certification, and every session is insured.
The Valley Line Trail and the Touhy Overpass
When the weather cooperates, take the workout outside. The Valley Line Trail is a 12-foot-wide path the Village built along the ComEd right-of-way, joining Skokie's paths at Lincoln Avenue and Chicago's at Devon Avenue. A steel overpass carries it over Touhy Avenue, and the Village held the ribbon-cutting in October 2018. Trail users can park at Henry A. Proesel Park, home of the Village's family aquatic center. The Union Pacific Bike Path, built on former railroad right-of-way between Devon and Touhy, adds a second route. A trainer can turn that stretch into walking intervals, then finish with strength and mobility work right beside the path.
No Train Station in Town, No Problem
There are no rail stops inside Lincolnwood, according to the Village's community profile. The nearest are the Edgebrook station on Metra's Milwaukee District North line and CTA's Oakton-Skokie station in neighboring Skokie. Pace routes 210 and 290 and CTA routes 54A, 82 and 96 serve the village, which sits about 10 miles from both downtown Chicago and O'Hare. For you, the logistics stay simple, because the trainer comes to your home, your office or a park nearby. Want more than workouts? We also offer nutrition counseling and in-home massage by licensed therapists.

Lincolnwood personal training FAQ
Is there a Metra or CTA stop in Lincolnwood?
No. The Village lists the Edgebrook Metra station and CTA's Oakton-Skokie station as the nearest rail options. Since your trainer travels to you, it rarely affects your sessions, whether you train at home, at work or in a park.
Can we hold sessions on the Valley Line Trail?
Yes. Outdoor sessions in a nearby park are one of our standard options, and the trail's 12-foot width leaves room for intervals and band work. Your trainer brings the gear.
How much notice do I need to give to reschedule?
Give us 24 hours' notice and we will reschedule. Any other questions get a reply within one business day.
