Postural Realignment Class

This series uses strength and flexibility exercises to strengthen abdominal and back muscles, develop pelvic stability and build abdominal control. Participants create a mind/body awareness through focused, slow, careful and controlled exercises that improve posture.

The Benefits

  • No more back pain – having a good posture means no more back pain. Slouching can add strain to muscles and put stress on the spine. In this class we perform exercise that counter your poor posture and slowly bring it back to normal.

  • Look good and feel confident – have you ever noticed people walking down that street that look confident? This is probably because they have a good posture. A good posture can make you look taller, slimmer and more successful when you sit and stand tall.

  • Reduce stress – Stress not only causes poor posture, but also actually perpetuates it! Adopting an upright posture when stressed can maintain self-esteem, reduce negative mood, and increase positive mood compared to a slumped posture. Therefore, sitting upright might be a simple strategy to help build resilience to stress.

Secil

Graduated from Hacettepe University Sport Sciences and Technology Department, specialized in Sport Biomechanics. Seçil competed as a runner and as a triathlete for over 15 years on national and international platforms. In addition of her 15+ years of personal training experience, she taught swimming to young children and adults and instructed indoor climbing classes. She also went on several mountaineering, alpine skiing and cross country expeditions throughout Easter Europe and Turkey.
